Ruthie is a retired elementary educator living in West Georgia. She is the proud mother of one daughter. With a lifelong passion for working with children, Holding a BS and an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education, Ruthie has dedicated her career to engaging and inspiring young minds in various settings, including schools, churches, libraries, and through her tutoring service. Her experience spans both public and private education sectors. Throughout her career, Ruthie has utilized creative methods such as singing, storytelling, writing skits, and playing educational games to capture children's attention and make learning enjoyable. 

Though retired from the classroom, Ruthie continues to support children's development through her books. Her debut publication, Walk Walk Walk, Talk Talk Talk, encourages children to stay active and explore the outdoors rather than remain indoors with technology. The book features Gabby and her dog, Poodles, as they embark on seasonal walks, discovering the sights and sounds around them. As a special treat, the book comes with a lively song, written and performed by Ruthie herself, designed to get children moving to the beat!
